AFCON 2015: Senegal Go Top, Bafana Hanging

Kara Mbodji

Senegal need a point from their last Group C tie to reach the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals after coming behind to draw 1-1 with South Africa in the African Nations Cup on Friday to go top of Group C.

Kara Mbodji's header on the hour cancelled out the lead that South Africa secured straight after halftime through Oupa Manyisa.
Senegal are top with four points followed by Algeria and Ghana on three and South Africa on one with one match to go.

All four countries are still alive in the group after two matches, but a draw against Algeria in Malabo on Tuesday will be enough to take the Senegalese through.
