Housewife Sells Neighbour's Child For N250,000 In Delta

A desperate housewife who lives in Akwukwu-Igbo community near Asaba, Delta State, Eunice (surname withheld), has been arrested for kidnapping a neighbour’s two-year-old baby and selling the baby for N250, 000.

Eunice reportedly sold the baby to a woman in Lagos who is said to have been married for 18 years without a child.
Eunice got custody of the baby last Wednesday, January 14 when her neighbour appealed to her to help look after the baby while she ran some errands in the market. Eunice then carried the baby to her buyer and a deal was sealed.

It was revealed that Eunice disappeared after she sold the baby; police however acted swiftly on a tip from a neighbour who sighted her when she was selling the baby and traced Eunice to a hotel in Ore Community of Ondo State where she was apprehended.

Eunice is currently helping the police to track the buyer of the baby while being held at the state CID in Asaba.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Celestina Kalu, has confirmed the arrest and revealed that investigations are still on-going.
