Explosives: Bayelsa Police Command Urges Public To Report Suspected Objects

                The Bayelsa Police Command on Friday urged members of the public to be vigilant and report any strange object suspected to be explosive device.

The command made the appeal in a statement signed by its spokesman, ASP Asinim Butswat, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yenagoa on Friday.

“The Bayelsa State Police Command wishes to inform the general public to be wary of any suspected item or object in their neighbourhood or vicinity.

“Members of the public and well meaning people of Bayelsa State are by this, enjoined not to touch, disturb, carry or set fire near an unexploded ordnance or any suspected item.

“The Command hereby advises the general public to report promptly any suspected object, to the police or other security agencies, as the command is poised to ensure the safety of lives and property,” the statement said.
