BUSTED: PDP Planning To Stone Buhari In Ondo Tomorrow

                  Mr. Ife Oyedele, who is the Campaign Coordinator for Buhari in Ondo state has raised an alarm that the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has a plot to attack Rtd. Gen. Buhari’s convoy.

According to Punch, the Buhari Campaign Co-ordinator for Ondo State, Mr. Ife Oyedele, alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has an evil plan to make sure youths attack the convoy of Maj.-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress, during his planned campaign in Akure scheduled for tomorrow, 24th January, 2015.

The plot which Oyedele made known at a conference organised by the Muhammadu Buhari Legacy Foundation, an NGO rallying support for Buhari, in Akure on Thursday, is said to serve as a retaliating one for the attack on the convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan in Katsina few days ago.

    “The PDP is organising thugs to stone our convoy on Saturday. They are recruiting thugs that will be throwing stones at General Buhari, just to give the impression that he is not loved by the people of the state. “But we shall resist it. We have also petitioned the commissioner of police in the state on this. “We expect the security agencies to do what they are paid to do, ” Oyedele said.

However responding to the allegations, the state chapter of the PDP made it known that their was no iota of truth in the allegations as the party identifies only with decency and good will.

Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Ondo State, Banji Okunomo, said,

    “The PDP is a very decent party. President Goodluck Jonathan represents civility and conducts his affairs in a peaceful manner.

    “We cannot toe the line of the animalistic tendencies of some people as shown in the incident in Katsina.“Our members will never do such a thing, and there are people who will do it on Saturday, please do not attribute it to PDP members because PDP members will never do that.”

It would be recalled that just yesterday, former Nigeria’s president Olusegun Obasanjo spoke about the certificate controversy rambling WASC certificate of the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

Obasanjo said that incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan is aware that his opponent is capable to run for February presidential poll but some hawks with Jonathan, do not want him to contest because they believed that he will win and come for them.
