President Jonathan’s Late Sister To Be Buried On Friday

                President Goodluck Jonathan will on Friday participate in the burial activities of his late younger sister, Mrs Nancy Jonathan-Olei, who passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, a statement said.


A burial programme issued on behalf of the Jonathan and Otazi families of Otuoke, Bayelsa, said Jonathan-Olei would be buried on Jan. 23, in Otuoke.

The statement was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati.

The programme shows that Jonathan-Olei’s body will leave Otuoke Comprehensive Hospital Mortuary at 9 a.m. for her residence in Otuoke.

The statement said Jonathan-Olei’s remains would be received by members of her family at the residence and moved to Dame Patience Jonathan Square for a Service of Songs scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

It said that a funeral service for the late Jonathan-Olei would be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church at 1 p.m. followed by interment.

The statement said the deceased left behind her children, grand-children and siblings , including Mr President, Sir Ariolo Jonathan, Mr Evans Jonathan and Madam Obebhatein Jonathan.

Others are Mrs Dorcas Awo, Mrs Stella Donald, Mrs Aziboni Abuge and Miss Dagao-apu Jonathan
